Casa Lanza is a charming, newly built home located just a few meters from the sea, the beaches, and all necessary amenities in the town of LU BAGNU, in the municipality of Castelsardo, a charming tourist village renowned for the distinctive beauty of its ancient streets and consistently ranked among the top villages in Italy.
The house is located on the first floor of a charming small building on the main street, featuring a veranda facing the street and another with a sea view.
It consists of a spacious, bright living room with a kitchen, a hallway, a large master bedroom, one bathroom, and relaxing verandas.
The house has a total area of approximately 52 square meters.
In northwestern Sardinia, on the eastern side of the Gulf of Asinara, near one of Italy’s most beautiful villages, you’ll admire a stunning panorama: cream-colored sand, crystal-clear blue sea, and rocky cliffs covered in Mediterranean scrub.
It is one of the few stretches of the Castellanese coastline—which is otherwise composed of high cliffs of red trachyte—consisting of a large expanse of sand. Lu Bagnu Beach, a hamlet of Castelsardo located about two and a half kilometers away, is sheltered by rocks fringed with greenery: you can reach it on foot via a flight of steps leading directly from the town center. The beach consists of fine, cream-colored sand with crystal-clear waters dotted with flat rocks that emerge here and there, keeping the water warm and pleasant. The beach is recommended for families, as it has a gentle slope; it’s very popular with young people and is ideal for diving enthusiasts thanks to its fish-rich and crystal-clear waters, which invite you to spend hours snorkeling. Nearby, you’ll find various dining options, and camping is permitted.
For windsurfing and sailing enthusiasts, however, a visit to the cliffs and the beach at Punta La Capra—which marks the western boundary of Lu Bagnu—is a must; the interplay between the sea and the rocks there creates a veritable natural pool.
After a day at the beach in Lu Bagnu, an evening visit to the ancient village of Castelsardo is a must; perched on a promontory, it is part of the “Most Beautiful Villages in Italy” club, offering a perfect blend of the sea, history, and local tradition. Interesting buildings line the narrow, steep streets: at the top stands the castle of the Doria family, who founded the town in 1102, and which today houses the charming Mediterranean Museum of Weaving. Not far away stands the Cathedral of Saint Anthony the Abbot, with its colorful bell tower overlooking the sea.
Lu Bagnu was once the seaside of Tergu, six kilometers away, a village famous—like Castelsardo—for its Holy Week rituals and home to the Romanesque church of Our Lady of Tergu, built of red trachyte and white limestone.
Lu Bagnu / Castelsardo is a town in northern Sardinia, specifically in the Gulf of Asinara, between Stintino
Costa Paradiso and Santa Teresa di Gallura.
Distance from Alghero/Fertilia Airport: approx. 1 hour.
Distance from the port of Porto Torres: -- 20 minutes.
